Plant seeds 1 inch deep in hills or rows, spacing 24-36 inches apart. For earlier harvests, start seeds indoors 3-4 weeks before transplanting, using biodegradable pots to avoid root disturbance. Keep soil consistently moist but not waterlogged, and mulch to retain moisture and suppress weeds.

Provide full sun and fertile, well-drained soil. Water deeply once per week, increasing frequency during dry spells. Feed with a balanced fertilizer when vines begin to run. Harvest when the rind is hard and the stem turns brown; cure in a warm, dry place for 7-10 days to improve storage life. Monitor for common pests like squash bugs and cucumber beetles, and practice crop rotation to reduce disease pressure.

What's Included

25 Acorn Squash Seeds.
