Soak the roots in water for a few hours before planting. Choose a location with full sun to partial shade and moist, well-drained, acidic soil. Dig a hole wide enough to spread the roots without crowding, place the plant so the root crown is at soil level, and backfill with native soil. Water thoroughly to settle the soil and eliminate air pockets. Apply a layer of mulch to conserve moisture and keep the roots cool, but keep mulch away from the trunk.

Water regularly during the first growing season to help establish a deep root system. Once established, Sweetbay Magnolia tolerates occasional wet soil but benefits from consistent moisture, especially during dry spells. Prune lightly in late winter or early spring to shape the tree and remove any dead or crossing branches. These starter plants are ready to grow into beautiful, fragrant trees with minimal maintenance.

What's Included

You will receive 3 Sweetbay Magnolia bare root starter plants, each approximately 12-24 inches tall.

https://blakesflora.com/products/3-sweetbay-magnolia-trees-fragrant-white-flowering-bare-root-starter-plants-12-24
