Soak the roots in water for a few hours before planting. Choose a sunny location with well-drained soil. Dig a hole wide enough to spread the roots comfortably and deep enough so the crown sits at or slightly above soil level. Backfill with native soil, firm gently, and water thoroughly to settle the soil and remove air pockets. Apply a layer of mulch around the base, keeping it away from the trunk.

Water regularly during the first growing season to help the plant establish a strong root system. Once established, lilacs are relatively drought-tolerant but benefit from deep watering during dry spells. Prune lightly after flowering to maintain shape and remove dead or damaged wood. Avoid heavy pruning, as lilacs bloom on old wood. With proper care, your Fragrant Late Lilac Bush will become a long-lived, low-maintenance addition to your garden.

What's Included

One live bare root Fragrant Late Lilac Bush, 12-18 inches tall.
