Lightly press seeds into the soil surface; do not cover deeply, as they need light to germinate. Keep the soil consistently moist but not waterlogged. Germination typically occurs in 14-21 days at temperatures around 65-70°F (18-21°C). Once seedlings have several sets of true leaves, transplant them to their final location, spacing them 12-18 inches apart.

Lemon balm thrives in rich, well-drained soil and benefits from regular watering during dry spells. Mulch around plants to retain moisture and suppress weeds. Harvest leaves as needed throughout the growing season, preferably in the morning when oils are most concentrated. Cut back plants after flowering to encourage fresh growth and prevent self-seeding if desired. In colder zones, apply a layer of mulch in winter to protect the roots.

What's Included

150 Lemon Balm Herb Seeds (Melissa officinalis).
