1 Live Plant Blue Rug Juniper Juniperus horizontalis Wiltonii Starter

Blue Rug Juniper (Juniperus horizontalis 'Wiltonii') is a low-growing, spreading evergreen shrub prized for its dense, carpet-like habit and striking silvery-blue foliage. This starter plant establishes readily and gradually forms a broad, trailing mat, making it a classic choice for ground cover, slopes, and border edges where year-round color and texture are desired. Its fine, needle-like foliage holds its cool blue tone through the seasons, offering quiet contrast against greens, stones, and gravel.
Wiltonii is widely used as a low-maintenance ground cover, in rock gardens, along retaining walls, and spilling over ledges where its cascading stems soften hard edges. It pairs well with other drought-tolerant ornamentals and can be planted en masse for erosion-friendly coverage on banks. Growth is horizontal and slow to moderate, rarely exceeding a low, spreading profile. While tolerant of poor, rocky soils once established, it performs best with good drainage and full sun. This listing is for a starter plant, ready to settle into a prepared garden bed or container.
