Planting & Care

Sow cosmos seeds directly outdoors after the last frost date, or start them indoors 4-6 weeks before transplanting. Lightly press seeds into the soil surface and keep moist until germination, which typically occurs in 7-21 days at 70-75°F. Once seedlings are established, thin them to the recommended spacing to encourage healthy growth and abundant blooms.

Double Click White Knight Cosmos is relatively carefree. Water regularly during dry spells, but avoid overwatering as cosmos prefers well-drained soil. Tall varieties may benefit from staking in windy areas. Deadhead spent flowers to prolong blooming, or leave some seed heads for self-sowing and to feed birds. Fertilize sparingly; too much nitrogen can reduce flower production.
