Planting & Care

Sow Safari Scarlet Marigold seeds indoors 6 to 8 weeks before the last frost, or direct sow outdoors after the danger of frost has passed. Press seeds lightly into the soil surface and keep them moist, as light aids germination. Maintain a warm, bright location and thin or transplant seedlings once they are large enough to handle.

Grow marigolds in full sun with well-drained soil. Water regularly during establishment and dry spells, allowing the soil surface to dry slightly between waterings. Deadhead spent blooms to encourage continued flowering through the season.
