Coffea arabica, commonly called coffee plant, is an evergreen tropical shrub grown for its glossy foliage and, in time, small white flowers followed by red berries containing the coffee beans. It makes an attractive indoor foliage plant with deep green, wavy-margined leaves and a naturally upright, bushy habit that suits bright rooms and conservatories.

It thrives in rich, well-draining soil kept evenly moist, and prefers warm, humid conditions with protection from cold drafts.
