5 Seeds Trichosanthes tricuspidata Indrayan Ornamental Vine Tropical

Trichosanthes tricuspidata, commonly known as Indrayan, is a vigorous perennial climbing vine noted for its deeply lobed foliage and striking rounded fruit that shifts to bright red as it matures. It brings a bold tropical texture to trellises, pergolas, and fence lines, and its fast twining growth makes it a rewarding choice for gardeners who want quick vertical coverage in warm conditions.
Grown primarily as an ornamental curiosity, this vine performs best with a sturdy support and regular moisture during active growth. The fruit is grown for visual interest rather than culinary use, and the plant can be trained over arbors, arches, or unsightly structures to soften the landscape. Start seeds indoors in warm conditions and transplant after the last frost for the strongest establishment.
