75 Seeds Golden Ragwort Packera aurea Native Groundcover Wildflower Shade Garden

Golden Ragwort (Packera aurea) is a native perennial wildflower valued for its bright golden-yellow daisy-like blooms that rise above rounded, heart-shaped foliage in spring. It forms a lush, spreading groundcover that brings early-season color to woodland gardens, pollinator plantings, and naturalized shade borders.

This adaptable eastern North American native grows well in moist, humus-rich soils and tolerates seasonal wetness, making it a useful choice for rain gardens, stream banks, and shaded meadow areas. Its nectar-rich flowers draw bees and beneficial insects in the cooler weeks of early spring, while the semi-evergreen foliage provides texture through much of the year.
