Planting & Care

Once seedlings have two sets of true leaves, thin or transplant to 10-12 inches apart. Basil prefers full sun and rich, well-drained soil. Water regularly, especially during dry spells, and pinch off flower buds to encourage leaf production. Harvest leaves as needed, starting from the top of the plant to promote bushy growth.
