Cosmos Purity Seeds – 100 White Heirloom Annual Flower Seeds for Planting

Cosmos Purity is a beloved heirloom annual prized for its pure white, single blooms that rise on tall, airy stems above fine, ferny green foliage. The crisp white flowers create a soft, natural look in borders, cottage gardens, and cutting gardens, and they pair beautifully with other cosmos, zinnias, and wildflowers. Because the plants are tall and lightweight, they sway gracefully in the breeze and make an excellent background planting or meadow addition.

These easy-to-grow annuals bloom over a long season, typically from midsummer until frost, and they are well known for attracting bees, butterflies, and other pollinators. The blooms are also long-lasting when cut, making Cosmos Purity a practical choice for fresh bouquets and casual floral arrangements.

Planting & Care

Sow Cosmos Purity seeds directly in the garden after the last frost date, or start them indoors 4 to 6 weeks before the last frost for an earlier bloom. Press the seeds lightly into the soil surface and keep them moist but not soggy; they need light to germinate, so do not bury them deeply. Thin or transplant seedlings to about 12 to 18 inches apart once they are a few inches tall.

Choose a sunny location with well-drained soil. Once established, cosmos are fairly drought tolerant, but regular watering during dry spells supports healthy growth and continued blooming. Tall plants may benefit from staking in windy areas. Deadhead spent flowers to encourage more blooms through the season.
