Provider Green Bush Bean is a dependable heirloom bush bean prized for its early, heavy yields and reliable performance in home vegetable gardens. This compact, stringless snap bean produces tender, round green pods that are excellent for fresh eating, freezing, and canning. Because it grows as a bush rather than a pole variety, it needs no trellising, making it a great choice for raised beds, small plots, and container gardening.

Provider beans are known for germinating well in cooler soil and producing a concentrated harvest over a short window, which is ideal for succession planting and preserving. Whether you are a first-time grower or an experienced gardener, this non-GMO heirloom variety offers an easy, rewarding crop.

Planting & Care

Sow Provider bush bean seeds directly in the garden after the last expected frost, when soil has warmed to at least 60°F. Plant seeds about 1 inch deep and keep the soil evenly moist until germination. Thin seedlings to the recommended spacing once they emerge. Bush beans generally do not need support, but a light mulch helps retain moisture and suppress weeds.

Water regularly, especially during flowering and pod development, and avoid letting the soil dry out completely. Harvest pods when they are young and tender for the best flavor and texture. For a continuous supply, sow small batches every two to three weeks through early summer.
