Planting & Care
Sow seeds indoors 8–10 weeks before the last frost. Press seeds lightly into the soil surface and keep moist but not waterlogged at around 70–75°F (21–24°C). Germination typically occurs in 7–14 days. Provide bright light after germination to encourage sturdy growth. Transplant seedlings outdoors after the danger of frost has passed, spacing them 12–18 inches apart in a sunny location with well-drained soil.
Water regularly during establishment, then allow the soil to dry slightly between waterings. Deadhead spent blooms to promote continued flowering. In cooler climates, plants can be overwintered indoors or treated as annuals.
