5 Seeds Boston Ivy Vine Parthenocissus tricuspidata Hardy Climbing Plant

Boston Ivy (Parthenocissus tricuspidata) is a vigorous deciduous climbing vine grown for its dense foliage and striking seasonal color. New growth emerges with a reddish tint before maturing to deep green, then shifts to brilliant crimson and burgundy tones in autumn, making it a standout choice for walls, fences, trellises, and pergolas where a bold vertical accent is desired.

This vine is well suited to covering large structures and adding texture to garden borders, arbors, and building facades. It climbs by means of small adhesive tendrils and can spread quickly once established, so it performs best where its growth can be directed and maintained. Its lush summer canopy and dramatic fall display make it a favorite for ornamental landscaping, and it also provides cover and shade along sunny exposures.
