500 Savoy Cabbage Seeds - Curly-Leaf Heirloom Vegetable (Brassica oleracea)

Savoy cabbage is a distinctive heirloom vegetable prized for its deeply crinkled, dark green leaves and mild, sweet flavor. Unlike smooth-leaved cabbages, Savoy cabbage forms loose, ruffled heads that are both ornamental and delicious. The tender leaves are perfect for wrapping, stir-fries, soups, and fresh salads. This cool-season crop thrives in fall and spring gardens, adding texture and visual interest to vegetable beds. With 500 seeds, you'll have plenty for successive plantings and sharing with fellow gardeners.

Planting & Care

Start seeds indoors 6-8 weeks before the last frost, or sow directly outdoors in early spring or late summer for a fall crop. Sow seeds ¼ inch deep and keep soil moist until germination, which typically occurs in 7-14 days at 65-75°F. Thin seedlings to 18-24 inches apart to allow room for head development. Savoy cabbage prefers consistent moisture and benefits from a layer of mulch to keep roots cool. Fertilize lightly when plants are young, and watch for common pests like cabbage worms; row covers can help protect young plants.
