Planting & Care

Start seeds indoors 6-8 weeks before the last frost date. Sow seeds 1/4 inch deep in seed-starting mix and keep soil warm (75-85°F) for best germination. Once seedlings have two sets of true leaves, transplant into larger pots and gradually acclimate them to outdoor conditions before planting in the garden after the danger of frost has passed.

Provide sturdy support such as cages or stakes for the indeterminate vines. Water regularly to maintain consistent moisture, and mulch to conserve water and prevent soil splash. Fertilize with a balanced fertilizer according to package instructions. Prune suckers if desired to improve airflow and fruit size. Harvest tomatoes when they are fully colored and slightly soft to the touch.
