Planting & Care

Sow lemon basil seeds indoors 6-8 weeks before the last frost or directly outdoors after the danger of frost has passed. Press seeds lightly into the soil surface; do not cover as they need light to germinate. Keep the soil consistently moist but not waterlogged. Once seedlings have two sets of true leaves, thin or transplant to 10-12 inches apart. Provide full sun and regular watering. Pinch back tips to encourage bushy growth and harvest leaves as needed. Lemon basil is sensitive to cold; protect plants if temperatures drop below 50°F.
